What I do:

This year i have set my mind to teaching typical dishes of the local area to small groups of italians and foreigners. these courses will take places only if pre-booked; partecipants will themselves choose the subject and hands-on food preparation of the courses and the lessons will be held in the kitchen of a private house, in an intimate and friendly atmosfere.

Due to the present situation, cookery classes could also be held online on request.

I shall organize visits to businesses in my area to demonstrate typical local products of excellent quality.

In preparing our daily menu the raw material is very important. Excellent products that I appreciate are those of:

  • An olive oil mill in the hills outside Verona: this producer takes great care with the olives that they use and the oil they extract.
  • A pasta manufacturing plant
I had the chance to sample the products of a pasta plant in my area and it was a very pleasant surprise. They use carefully selected wheat from this region, at a low temperature with a long period of time for drying. All this care and attention give their pastas an edge when it is cooked and an excellent taste.
  • A family-run dairy: I visited a family-run dairy in my area. All types of cheese are manufactured by hand with a little help from technology. Every attention is given to hygiene. Each stage of the production process is carried out on site. The products all have authentic flavours: Parmesan cheese aged up to 36 months, “caciotte”, ricotta cheese and yoghurt.
  • A fruit and vegetable farm: from the field to your table in a few hours. Even if you can’t shop at your trusted “local farmer”, their home delivery allows you to buy healthy and genuine products promoting local produce and, as a result, the local economy.
